Binance P2P error 083762: why your ad's price won't change below 100 units

If you edit the price of a nearly empty ad on Binance P2P, the change can be refused with code 083762 and the message "Ad remaining balance should not be less than 100". It happens on the website, in the app and to any tool that edits prices for you.

What it means

Binance requires an ad to hold at least 100 units of the asset before it accepts changes to it. For a USDT ad that is 100 USDT. Once enough of the ad has sold that less than 100 is left, the ad keeps its last price and every edit is rejected until it is topped up.

It applies to buy ads too: a buy ad whose remaining budget has dropped under 100 units hits the same wall.

Why it looks like the bot stopped working

We ran into this while building P2P Trade Bot. A sell ad had sold down to about 80 USDT, and its price stopped following the market. Everything else looked healthy: the bot found the right competitor, calculated the right price, and sent it. Binance refused it every time.

An early version of the bot didn't read the refusal properly and logged the update as successful. That made it look as if a filter was freezing the ad, when the cause was on Binance's side.

What to do

  • Top up the ad above 100 units. Price changes work again immediately.
  • Or close it if you meant to let it run out. An ad stuck at an old price can still take orders at a price you no longer want.
  • Watch for it on small ads. If you run ads with only a few hundred USDT, you will reach this point regularly.

How P2P Trade Bot handles it

The bot recognises code 083762, marks the ad as Parked on the dashboard, and sends one Telegram message saying the ad needs topping up (at most once an hour). It doesn't switch the ad off. As soon as the balance is back above 100, the next cycle prices it normally.
